The tale of two Octopus

I have just completed the process of transferring all of my information from another blog service and setting up my new blog. The other blog service was not nearly as good or user friendly but I had spent so much time setting it up that I figured I would give it a chance. I should have scrapped them before I invested all that time! Oh well, I am here now and love the ease of using Blogger.


This fella is Monsieur, he is the better half of Mademoiselle. I use this pair of amigurumi as my Etsy avatar. After making them I created an entire scene in which to photograph them. Complete with a bedroom and living room area.

Monsieur is pictured here sitting on the sofa reading his Sea Life magazine. He has to use a monocle because his eyes aren't what they used to be. Pictured below him is Mademoiselle. She appears to be sewing one of her creations at her sewing machine. I think that might be the pair of legwarmers she was really hoping to finish before winter. The project was taking longer than she thought because of having eight legs, and long ones at that!

Monsieur just reads while she sews, the constant hum of the machine relaxes him. Monsieur is such a nice Octopus that he soon decides to take a break from the Sea Life article on rogue plankton to surprise Mademoiselle with a little gift. It is a new headpiece to match her legwarmers! Hooray!!! You can see how happy Mademoiselle is, and she gives Monsieur a big grateful hug.
